HALL OF POETS POETRY OF THE WEEK - KEN NEWMAN

HALL OF POETS POETRY OF THE WEEK

HALL OF POETS POETRY OF THE WEEK goes to "Life", written by ken Newman.

Down where the river flow
that's where my mind goes
eternal snaking in and out
of life flowing with the
currents and eddies liquid
it adapts to all of life's cracks
choosing its path with ease
in a constantly changing pattern
to fit with what matters forcing
nothing and no one... touching
all sides it slips and slides in
and out going blind..no emotion
in its roller-coaster ride fitting
perfectly with all mankind

As a leaf falls from a tree
the leaf become part of the dream
meandering its way going with the flow
catching here and stopping there
a ready chance of an affair
once fulfilled to become a part
of the river again hoping to sustain
its life that's in decay
moving smoothly ,swiftly along its way
caught in its currents and eddies
never knowing whats around the next bend.
